COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

Hazy yellow body with a ton of sediment. White head with some lacing.
Fresh citrus hop aroma. Some malt. Spicy hop aroma comes out as the beer warms.
Sweet malt with a balanced, spicy hop bite.
Full bodied with a chalky mouthfeel. Amount of sediment in the glass was a bit displeasing for the style.

citrus, lemon hop aroma. Pours a cloudy straw yellow, low head. Fruity hop crispness, finish is rather flat. Mouthfeel is not bad. A half decent pale ale.

Hazy golden in colour with a decently dense white head. Aroma of hops and citrus along with corn. Taste of malt and corn along with a tiny bit of hops. Not a great APA, with more odd flavours more than bright hops! Don't worry about trying this unless you've had all your local APA's and really enjoy trying other examples of the style. I bought this 12 ounce bottle from Total Beverage in Thornton (Denver), Colorado.

Hazy orange unfiltered. A good example of an APA though not in same league as Liberty or 3F alpha. Typical piney and citrusy character. Good session beer.

filtered orange hazy color, little head and minimal lacing. small hop aroma with a background of malt. dry and acidic on the palate, respectable pale ale but somewhat dissapointing.

Has a floral, melon almost candy aroma quite interesting. Slightly sweet but medium-bodied. Clean zesty finish. Good example of a Pale Ale.

Light orange, served in a cold glass with no head. grrrr. Sweet syrup, white grape, and peach aroma. Mild hop presence, with a strange old-leather flavor. Not too much to distinguish, and I wish it lived up to it's aroma. Palate is slightly dry, but the finish is boring.

love pale ales and liked this one. good fruity and hoppy smell. Spices, hops, and malt seem to work together. Good but not great.
