3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2011 Sample at Bev & More: Golden-tawny color, medium-lean body and moderate carbonation, with promising pale malt and American hop aroma that leads to the same prominent flavor notes. Something spicy mid-palate, finishes abruptly with mineral, seltzer.

Orange, honey. Fruit salad, cake, herbal hops, grapefruit peel, mild bitter finish. Quite light for an extra, but refreshing little fruity pale ale.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A) with a vigorous pour produced a thick white foam cap that fades quickly to just a smear on top. The color is straw with some orange highlights. A bit hazy
S) smells slighty citrusy
T) tastes of citrusy hops with a yeasty or bready ending
MF) A bit thin around the edges
Overall I thought that this beer doen’t live up to the style of pale ale. It needs more hop character and the color was more to a pils then to a pale ale. On the other hand this is a good convert beer for our junk swelling brothers.
Also to me this is a good summer beer, flavorful and light perfect for grass cutting or firing up our lump charcoal grills.
Have a good day

Draft. Nose is lemon with some toast. Pour is light gold with a white head that laces well on the glass. Taste is slightly dirty with a pithy bitterness. Not really much going on in terms of hop flavor. Just ok. Kinda turns soapy as I drink more.

I’m not sure what the difference is between an IPA, APA, and an EPA. This one had a unique flavor though, so maybe that is it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. The aroma is full of toasted crackers and bread. Some light citrus as well. Kind of chewy mouth feel. Low to moderate sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Finishes dry and pretty clean. Boring but not all that bad.

24 may 2014, tap. Yellow, clear, some bubbles. Nose is light lemon and mild, sweet alcohol. Meh. Some lemon rind, light cereal malt. Rather nondescript.

Bottle to half-pint (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transplant golden orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of utter hops and pale malt. Tastes like it smells with a touch of grain as well. Okay.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 25, 2014 Pours pale yellow-gold with ample frothy white head. Can be cloudy as it is unfiltered. Aroma is yeasty with little farmyard. Flavor starts sweet, finishes slightly more balanced, but hops is nearly absent. Palate is medium to light. Drinkable beer - possibly just the style I don’t like - too sweet without any other big features - the brewer calls it a pale ale, while it is classified as a blonde - not my idea of a pale.
