COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

12-oz bottle. A- Beer is light orange with a translucent body and a thick white head. Good lacing and retention. S- Good nose but not that special. Malty with hints of orange. T- Very orangey flavor with a medium malt backing. Smooth clean finish. P- low carbonation and light body. Slightly watery. O- This is a highly drinkable beer. A great introductory beer for a macro drinker.

Iím not sure what the difference is between an IPA, APA, and an EPA. This one had a unique flavor though, so maybe that is it.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. The aroma is full of toasted crackers and bread. Some light citrus as well. Kind of chewy mouth feel. Low to moderate sweetness. Moderate bitterness. Finishes dry and pretty clean. Boring but not all that bad.

24 may 2014, tap. Yellow, clear, some bubbles. Nose is light lemon and mild, sweet alcohol. Meh. Some lemon rind, light cereal malt. Rather nondescript. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to half-pint (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transplant golden orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of utter hops and pale malt. Tastes like it smells with a touch of grain as well. Okay.

MaltOne (199) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 24, 2014
UPDATED: APR 25, 2014 Pours pale yellow-gold with ample frothy white head. Can be cloudy as it is unfiltered. Aroma is yeasty with little farmyard. Flavor starts sweet, finishes slightly more balanced, but hops is nearly absent. Palate is medium to light. Drinkable beer - possibly just the style I donít like - too sweet without any other big features - the brewer calls it a pale ale, while it is classified as a blonde - not my idea of a pale.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Beautiful golden hue with nice lacing on the head. Notes of green grass and hibiscus accent the opening. Full mouthfeel with a subtle hint of lemon oil compliments the finish of mild hops and citrus overtones. --you've been Dubbed.

Itís a drinkable brew. Nothing special just good brewing. Faint hop and malt aroma followed by a nice malty sweetness in the taste. Finish is actually quite nice for a extra pale.

Six pack from AJs. Good but unexceptional pale ale. Hazy (itís unfiltered) orange/yellow, tastes slightly lemony. Not big hops, but not absent either. Not another Cascade pale ale, which is good.

This beer was really good for a pale ale it was smoothe and not to hoppy that usually leaves a bitter taste. I would recommend this beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
