This stout poured a deep black colour with a nice dark tan head. To the nose there are scent of chocolate and roasted coffee as usual. But this one had a little ripe fruit i there with some cream? First taste was full flavoured with lots of roasty goodness. A good load of coffee flavour with a little hopp bit in the end. Not as creamy as other stouts but still full flavoured enough to be excellent.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small milk chocolate head. Very fizzy. Nose is dry roasty malt chocolate and cocoa. Palate is a bit on the thin side. Flavor is roasty and dry cocoa and a lite bitter hop finish.

My second from Mad river, Like the Double IPA better. This is good for a $1.75. Nice flavor just a tad more carbonation than I like.

Pure black color. There is no way to get light to penetrate through this. Aroma is of sweeter malts, roasty nuts, and chocolate. It has some coffee undertones. Taste full of sweeter malts, chocolate and a little coffee. Nice and sweet aftertaste. Pretty good brew from the west side.

Bottle thanks to Scrizzz. Pours a jet black with a big tan head. Aroma is of raisins, prunes and coffee. Some piney hops flit in and out. Taste is a watered down version of the aroma. Palate is a bit too watery, but the further down the glass I get, the better it becomes. Not terrible, but not something Id get a case of.

12oz - Two stroke oil under fleeting brown head. Mild nose for a stout, expected more layers of roasted aromas. Sweetness on the front, cream then coffee. Well balanced but not powerful. Good not great.
