Commercial Description:
A black opaque ale with rich creamy roasted malt character and a very mild hop complement. This beer may look a little scary but take a sip and you'll see why this Extra Stout can convert even lite beer drinkers to Stout lovers. A unique flavor profile that starts with a slight coffee flavor and finishes with a hint of roasty chocolate. Try a pint with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. This beer is a favorite as a compliment to any dessert or as a hearty breakfast drink.

12 oz. Black with a two finger, creamy and lasting head. Aromas of coffee, caramel, cocoa, raisins, and spicy dried wood. Flavor is coffee, dates, cocoa, spicy hickory, piquant herbs and slight sour cream. Lots of coffee, cocoa and oak on the dry finish. Medium body is lightly tingly, a tad watery, soft and dry.

Bottle in trade with Ibrew2or3. Thanks!
Pours dark black with a small tan head. Smell is soy suace, fig like dark fruit and the taste is rich, very slightly roasty and tart, dark ripe fruits. Tastes better than it smells with less soy sauce character. Bit of an oily body with medium carbonation. Not my style of stout, but well enough made, I imagine.

Bottle from Total Wine in Roseville, CA. This brew had chocolate flavors thoughout and was fairly smooth. A little coffee and dark fruits. ...I’d try the vanilla ice cream pairing, but I’m lactose and have replaced milk with beer.

Pours inky black and slightly oily with a dark brown creamy head which dissipated quickly. Aroma is of light grassy hops, coffee, and dark chocolate. Nice roasty complex flavors of dark chocolate and a slight fruitiness I’d associate with dark fruits with a bitter hop finish. Well balanced and full bodied. Slightly sweet, but not overdone. Very nice.

Black on the pour with a small fading tan head. Aroma is of dark chocolate, coffee and some roast. Taste is complex and well balanced, a full mouthfeel. Tastes of chocolate, coffee and a solid roasty backbone. Slightly dry finish, but rather well done

12-oz bottle received via trade with mgumby10. Pours opaque with a small, fizzy, dark brown head, somewhat lasting with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, nutty, cookie), light hops (grass), heavy yeast (leather, dough) with notes of cola, oats, and coffee. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a large incredibly dark brown head. The aroma was bitter and roasty malts with a hint of sweet chocolate. The flavor was bitter, roasty and very malty with notes of coffee and chocolate and a long bitter and roasty finish. The mouthfeel was thick and smooth. A bit drier than I tend to go for but quite remarkable.
