This was the beer that made me a stout lover. A great, small-brew California stout- dark, murky and mysterious but rich and inviting. TheEpeeist (1444), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Bottled (Thanks heemer77). Black/very dark brown colour iwth small brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some flowery hops and a bit chocolate. Flavour is old acidic coffee, some hops and slightly roasted malts. Quite pleasant, but the coffeeish acidicness makes it a bit out of balance.
