Commercial Description:
A black opaque ale with rich creamy roasted malt character and a very mild hop complement. This beer may look a little scary but take a sip and you'll see why this Extra Stout can convert even lite beer drinkers to Stout lovers. A unique flavor profile that starts with a slight coffee flavor and finishes with a hint of roasty chocolate. Try a pint with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. This beer is a favorite as a compliment to any dessert or as a hearty breakfast drink.

Deep and dark, medium brown head that lasted. Solid roasted malt prescence, a little smoky, slightly sweet, with some hops in the background. Medium to full bodied, slightly dry. A solid stout. Re-rate: Less roast than previously. More of an off sourness that did not carry across well. Rating is an average of both ratings.

Pours black with a medium sized brown head. Mild smokey roasted malt, with coffee and milk chocolate aroma. Dry and salty. Oatmeal. Chewey malts. Molases and burnt sugar. Sour cherries and dried fruit. Long roasted souring finish.

Bottled. Poured a dark black, with a thin yet very dense and creamy head. Aroma teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, mmmmmm barbeque, and rich in burnt dark malts. Flavor very interesting BBQ potato chips, smokiness bittersweet coco, more teriyaki sauce, prunes, plums, and dried dark fruits. Body is very rich thick and creamy. Very rich and filling beer.

Reddish black, thin head. Nose is hoppy, slightly sweet with dark fruits. Very chocolate w. plum and cherry notes. Slightly milky, roasty chocolate finish. Aroma needs some work.

Black body, small dark tan head, mild espresso nose. Nice mouthfeel, but a little weak in flavor, with sweet coffee, minimal bitterness and a sweet finish. A hint of chocolate lingers.

A decent stout, but nothing that really stands out in my mind. Good roastiness and coffee flavors with a big bitterness in the finish. Moderate thickness and good smooth creaminess.

Opaque black just like your usual stout. Taste is smooth and easy to drink with roasted coffee. A very good drinkable stout. Sometimes stouts like this are a nice break from all of the incredibly robust stouts like expedition and world wide.
