Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, molasses and licorice. Nice flavor as well, definate chocolate malts and coffee, with some dark fruit I didn’t pick up in the aroma. A very good 2 buck brew! ucusty (1881), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Well done. elihapa (1052), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2008 Pours syrupy thick dark chocolate with a brown head. Aroma is rich of semisweet chocolate, bourbon, coffee, and molasses. Quite enticing! Palate is creamy smooth, softly carbonated, and mouth-coating. Reminded me of Brooklyn’s Black Chocolate Impy Stout. Flavor of brown sugar, coffee, chalky ash, and malt. Starts fairly sweet, ends with some slowly revealed bitter flavors. A down side: for me the prickly carbonation disrupted the pristine creaminess of the beer. Overall, I really enjoyed this one, and found its attributes to be fairly unique. timsilvia32 (446), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Pours black/brown., tan head. Grains/oats in the nose. Pretty smooth going down, mocha, coffee, chocolate. Pretty clean finish. Could have more hops, maybe more like a milk stout. Not bad at all.
