Commercial Description:
A black opaque ale with rich creamy roasted malt character and a very mild hop complement. This beer may look a little scary but take a sip and you'll see why this Extra Stout can convert even lite beer drinkers to Stout lovers. A unique flavor profile that starts with a slight coffee flavor and finishes with a hint of roasty chocolate. Try a pint with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. This beer is a favorite as a compliment to any dessert or as a hearty breakfast drink.

Good sized dark brown head of dense and creamy bubbles. Aroma of terraki sauce, sweet malts and some salty bologna. Yeah, I am weird. Very dark brown in color. Medium bodied. Very flavorful. Lots of roasted grains, toffee and a decent helping of mild coffee late swallow. Some earthy notes (herbal) in there also. Finishes rich and creamy with a lingering slightly bitter coffee aftertaste. A decent stout.

Pours black into an English pint. Off-white mocha micro head with excellent retention leaves a thin sheet. Dark cocoa aromas. Smooth and slightly thin with upfront soy and molasses. Turning to chocolate in the finish.

Quite good. A comparison to Cooper’s Best is a good one; this is close to a dry stout, IMO, but not quite. One tiny touch too artificially sweet (chocolate) in aroma and flavor, detracts slightly. A tad more hops might help too. But still, a really good stout.

Bottle from Total Wine in Naples, FL. Pours a deep brown/black with a quickly dissipating brown head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, and balsamic reduction. Medium bodied with thin creamy texture, and slight soda like carbonation. Initial flavor of toasted nuts, maple, dark roast, and raisens. Subtle bitterness mid-palate to balance things out. Roasty finish. Not bad.

Number 500. Another milestone. And the luck of the draw gives me a good beer. A stout. My favorite style. This poured opaque black with a frothy tan head. Beautiful, How I like beer to look. Aroma of roasted coffee and hints of chocolate in an inticing combination. Exquisite. Robust, full body with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. Flavor was a wonderful blend of dark roasted coffee with melted dark chocolate in it. Pleasing and satisfying. Quite good.

12oz from a beer club. Pretty tasty session stout, if you ask me. Thick, chewy body. Hopped up like a West Coast stout should be (lots of overtones of SN’s stout, to me) and backed up by a very prominent roasted flavor that makes it pleasantly aggressive. Good stuff.

Pours black with a large beige head. Sweet with some bitterness. Malty aromas of roasted coffee and roasted malts - also a hint og caramel. Light citric hops aromas. Also aromas of sweet dates. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. OK

Reddish black, thin head. Nose is hoppy, slightly sweet with dark fruits. Very chocolate w. plum and cherry notes. Slightly milky, roasty chocolate finish. Aroma needs some work.
