Aroma of terraki sauce, sweet malts and some salty bologna. Yeah, I am weird. Very dark brown in color. Medium bodied. Very flavorful. Lots of roasted grains, toffee and a decent helping of mild coffee late swallow. Some earthy notes (herbal) in there also. Finishes rich and creamy with a lingering slightly bitter coffee aftertaste. A decent stout. thornecb (1822), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Off-white mocha micro head with excellent retention leaves a thin sheet. Dark cocoa aromas. Smooth and slightly thin with upfront soy and molasses. Turning to chocolate in the finish. A comparison to Cooper’s Best is a good one; this is close to a dry stout, IMO, but not quite. One tiny touch too artificially sweet (chocolate) in aroma and flavor, detracts slightly. A tad more hops might help too. But still, a really good stout. illinismitty (1811), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Bottle from Total Wine in Naples, FL. Pours a deep brown/black with a quickly dissipating brown head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, and balsamic reduction. Medium bodied with thin creamy texture, and slight soda like carbonation. Initial flavor of toasted nuts, maple, dark roast, and raisens. Subtle bitterness mid-palate to balance things out. Roasty finish. Not bad. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA

My favorite style. This poured opaque black with a frothy tan head. Beautiful, How I like beer to look. Aroma of roasted coffee and hints of chocolate in an inticing combination. Exquisite. Robust, full body with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. Flavor was a wonderful blend of dark roasted coffee with melted dark chocolate in it. Pleasing and satisfying. Quite good. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2008 12oz from a beer club. Pretty tasty session stout, if you ask me. Thick, chewy body. Hopped up like a West Coast stout should be (lots of overtones of SN’s stout, to me) and backed up by a very prominent roasted flavor that makes it pleasantly aggressive. Good stuff. sunevdj (1790), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
