COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A black opaque ale with rich creamy roasted malt character and a very mild hop complement. This beer may look a little scary but take a sip and you’ll see why this Extra Stout can convert even lite beer drinkers to Stout lovers. A unique flavor profile that starts with a slight coffee flavor and finishes with a hint of roasty chocolate. Try a pint with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. This beer is a favorite as a compliment to any dessert or as a hearty breakfast drink.

Beautifuly copperhead coffee colored pour. Aroma has coffee and caramel but I’m hard of smelling. Thick and delicious. Cofee heavy with a burnt expresso bean note that fade. Very flavorful, not artificial in any way. Way to easy to drink.

12 ounce bottle poired into a pint glass. The beer is a dark brown to black with a khaki head of foam. The aroma has strong anise character and dark chocolate. Mostly a bitter stout, but there is a subtle sweetness lingering in the background. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Excellent toasty roasty malts - to nitpick, not quite the intensity of aroma and flavour of some others but hey, this is gooood.

Bottle - pours black with a deep tan head.roast malt, chocolate, something rummy and chocolate cherry. Dry roast malt with a hint of hops upfront then a dry roast finish. Palate is quite lively.

12 fl oz bottle into glass. Delicate milk chocolate nose. Totally opaque black beer with thin tan head. Taste is fruity, fizzy chocolate. Slight bitterness in the finish. Good nightcap.

Heavy coffee smell, very dark, taste is the same, one dimensional, all coffee and nothing else, smoothes out with time.

Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Deep, thick dark chocolate nose, with dark roastiness, vanilla, sweet and a bit ashy. Dark brown, creamy head, good lace. Medium coffee initial, a light meaty note in mid, generous chocolate, and even a little touch of acidity in finish. Medium-heavy body. Seriously enjoyable aroma, some umami notes. Flavors are intense, and sort of all over the place. Still, very delicious stuff.

Bottle from Wine Emporium 110115. Deep black colour with a sparse head. Moderately bitter dark chocolate flavour and aroma. Super tasty.

Nice and dark, good supplement to a burger. Phases were fairly simple, could have been thicker on the palate.

355ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a moderate beige head, which lasts fairly well and leaves decent lacing. Roasty malt, black coffee and nutty, savoury notes create the aroma. Mild herbal hops up front give way to bittersweet cocoa and nutty notes in the mid-palate, with black coffee in the finish. A decent, enjoyable stout.
