12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown, small ring of foam around the edges. You can definitely smell the roasted malts. Flavor is similiar, but it has a nice subtle smokey flavor. You can also detect some whiskey and vanilla in the background. Lively carbonation and the mouthfeel is smooth, not quite velvet, but close. A decent porter.

Jul 25, 2008 From bottle. Mild tea aroma, light carbonic gaseousness, a bit of smoke and chocolate. No hops discernable, little bit of smoke. Dark, dark brown-black clear liquid, with thin, light tan head. Medium body with medium-light carbonation. Starts with a nice chocolate malt character, light smokiness. Strong tea flavor, with light coffee and nutty bitterness. A bit weak overall, but decent. Carbonic acidity in the finish. Chocolate and roasted grain.

Jul 22, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured dark brown in color with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is sweet with caramel and roasted malts. Tastes of caramel, dark fruits, nuts, and toast. The flavors are generally sweet, but this one is still very drinkable and nice.

Jul 14, 2008 Pours coke brown, small tan head. No chocolate in this one. Roasted carbon-y nose. Roasty/toffee slight sweet malt going down. Pretty balanced with the hops. Overall not bad, definetely more malty than the typical porter.
