A Scotch Porter. Great idea, great combination. The Scotch is very evident, and pleasing, compared to a solo Scotch Ale. Nice smokey malt as well.

12oz bottle. Scotch Porter is a style that I associate with brewpubs of 10-15 years ago. Deep opaque brown-black body, creamy beige head. Roasty sweet cocoa aroma. The smoke is a little bit awkward, giving it a slightly oil feel, accentuating the specialty malts a little too much. Still a pretty respectable product, but not exactly World Class.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a finger of light tan head on a dark brown body.
The aroma is roasted malt and a little chocolate.
The taste incredible. Roasted malt, chocolate move to a smoky and woody finish. Only a hint of bitterness.
Smooth and soft texture.
Excellent flavor profile.

Easy on the tongue, sweetness which is not over powering. Kinda heavy feeling on the stomach.

Pours a thick dark brown with a tightly bubbled cream head, aroma of chocolate, super smooth roasted flavours with coffee aftertaste. A rich full flavoured Porter for those that love dark beers.

@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark mahogany with a thick rim head and no lace. Taste is lightly smoked caramel malt with peat and earthy overtones. Flavor builds through the palate before adding a very light bittering to balance in the finish. A somewhat chewy, oily brew, filling, and not as satisfying as I would like. Decent, not great.
