3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bhensonb (7595) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Bottle. Pours light amber with a three-finger yellowish off-white head. Aromas of citrus and yeast. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is almost tangerine. Very refreshing. Not a great deal of spice or yeast. Smooth and almost mellow. There’s a low level yeast with time. Clean. Refreshing. Definitely has that Belgian yeast/spice characteristic - but quite light compared to many. Drinks moderately well.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Tmoney99 (7300) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 19, 2009
Bottle from Kingdom Liquors. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate tart citrus and yeast aroma. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. This beer met my expectations.

An amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet musty malt with light vinous notes, similar to white wine, dusty notes. In mouth, a chalky sweet malt with light curacao, boring. On tap at Boston Beer Summit, Jan. 15 2011.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (6854) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - DEC 13, 2009
Pours a slightly hazy copper bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of toasty pale caramel malts and lighty biscuity notes with some oxidized toffee and lemon fruitiness. Starts with decent fullness and a soft biscuity malty flavor with some light coriander and orange zest tartness before a semi-dry smooth bittersweet finish. Could use a little more sweetness and complexity, but an ok Belgian ale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 2, 2010
My Bottom Line:
Peach syrup and bitter, spicy hops dominate this plump Belgian-style Ale, putting together a somewhat rough-but-drinkable glass, devoid of refinement.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy amber.
-The residual sugars are not necessarily harmonious with the esters produced and the chosen hops.
-The body is way too big for this to be very drinkable.
-The peachy sweetness is so overt, it could be offensive to some.
On tap at the brewery tasting room.
