Bottle, tasting at Appellation Wines. Black body with a thick tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, popcorn and espresso. Flavour of wood, chocolate, espresso and ginger biscuit. Quite dry. Medium body with a smooth then sticky mouthfeel. Light carbonation prickle. Very rich and complex.

The third beer in the beer nerd meeting at Appellation Wines Comely Bank on 28.08.14. Thanks to either allmyvinyl or stuu666. Appearance - opaque black with an oily texture and a lovely fawn head. Nose - honey, popcorn, chocolate and liquorice. Taste - freshly made espresso, with a ginger biscuit edge and then a chocolate finish. Palate - medium bodied with a tannic edge to it. There’s a creamy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - A lovely interesting beer. A bit gnarly but worth wrestling with.

Bottle, cheers Stuu666! Pours dark brown, thin tan head. Popcorn and dark chocolate aromas, dark sugar. Taste has coffee, roasty bitterness, more dark chocolate, really good quality dark chocolate! Some dark fruit notes too. Bitter finish.

Barwa: ciemna, nieprzejrzysta nawet pod światło. Piana beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, obfita i utrzymująca się. Aromat: słodowy - na pierwszym miejscu wyraźna czekolada, następnie melanoidyny, lekka paloność i nuta alkoholowa. Smak: słodowy, dość pełny i słodki. Wyraźna czekolada i nieco akcentów palonych.
