Black with khaki head. Dark very malty scents, a hint of sweet licorice, some sort of mushrooms. Sweet, malty palate, medium+ bodied. Comes across as fairly well balanced and complex. Decent length on the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Le Senk. Rich malty aroma, roasted, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, full. Stable brownish head, almost black colour. Taste is initially moderately sweet, with caramel, dark fruits, biscuity malts, changes through some warmth and bitterness, and finishes with roasted notes. Relatively full body considering the alcohol. Remains drinkable despite being a sipper, however paradoxical that may seem.

750ml capped bottle pours black in color with a 2 finger light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains and chocolate with some dark fruits and a hint of popcorn. Taste is a roasted grain and hop bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness with some buttery notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty darn good porter and highly recommended.
