Sample from bottle @ CBC 2014.
App: Hazy yellow.
Aroma: Lots of lemon with som spicy hints of brett and hops.
Taste: Ouff! Weird stuff. Just a big punch of sweet and citric lemonade with some soapy and spicy notes.
Palate: Medium body, oliy.
Overall: Too much lemonade. Not very good.

Tasting at Ferrisí; 16/01/24
Cloudy golden color with small head. Huge yuzu aroma, a bit of lemon tart, flowers, light sweat impression. Lean mouthfeel, highly carbonated, lemon and yuzu character. Dry finish. Tart. A bit salty.
The acidity is balanced, the yuzu is always welcome. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Lovely citrus aroma. Clementines, lime, grapefruit. Very fruity, sweet and sour. Hard to say where the citrus ends and the bacteria begin.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of yuzu Ė loads of orangey citrusy notes Ė intense yuzu. Flavour brings out intense sour yuzu Ė basically like a hugely lemony orangey citrusy notes. Finishes hugely citrusy and tart. Lovely stuff for what it is.

Bottle - Sweet citrus peel and some tartness. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Very acidic and citrus peel. Big flavours and almost a bit harsh. Sweet and tart, lots of peel.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This hazy amber beer pours with no head. It has a very strong perfume aroma which follows through into the initial taste with orange peel, grapefruit, citrus, lemon and a bitter sour finish. Probably the strangest beer I have ever drank!

Bottle. Pours hazy golden in color with a whitish head. Orange peel, bit sharp notes of some old stable leather, sweeter notes such as in lemon marmalade and tart citrus fruityness in aroma. Lemony (slightly tart) notes mixed with forresty green herbs in taste. Also some summer meadowy notes and sour fruityness are present in aftertaste. On the whole this one was quite fresh and had a nice amount of tartness keeping things interesting.

My Bottom Line:
This excessively aromatic brew shares tons of citrus fruit and sourness for a refreshing and memorable tasting experience.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the misty amber.
-The nose on this one is nearly blinding. You donít even need to get close to the glass to feel a sting in your eyes... Fresh yuzu isnít this intense even if you zest it...
-The bombastic yuzu aroma is also reminiscent of Pine Sol, sadly.
-All flavors are harmonious.
-Prickly carbonation works with the fresh flavors and acidity.

Bottle.

750 ml botle @ Cardinal. Slightly unclear golden body with a small, stable white head. Nice and appealing aroma, still slightly unusually (might be the yuzy juice as Iím not familuar with). Citric fruit, berries, oranges peel and herbals. Flavor is a bit difficult to describe, itís both fruits and berries, acidic with lemon and zest. It feels both quite acidic and mild fruity at the same time. Itís really refreshing and quite complex in flavors. Fine balanced body with a long lasting aftertaste in same style as main flavor. A nice a slightly different sour beer experience. I like such positive surprices.

Draught at Mikkeller bar, Copenhagen. Orange pour with decent white head. Nose of yuzu, lemons, Brett, light malts. Flavour is balanced sweet malts and tart lemony sourness with a satisfying dry finish. Quite spritely with a low-medium body. An excellent sour beer that would make a good introduction to the style.
