COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Coffee Stout is rich and smooth with just a hint coffee flavor. It is crafted using five different malted grains, which results in dark color and flavors of chocolate and heavily roasted malt. We then partnered with Des Moines based U.S. Roasterie to select a Mocha Java coffee to add depth and flavor to beer. We think it turned out great and hope you will agree!

Bottle from Pepsi - thanks! Pours opaque black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee, something a bit off going on. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, coffee, ashtray. Medium body. Not bad, despite the odd smell.

Pours black as the ace of spades, with a thick, foamy, tan head. Copious lacing. Nose is huge coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is semi-sweet with a good bit of cocoa coming through. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Good brew.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Dark brown pour. Big roasty and coffee aroma, some chocolate. Flavor is lightly roasty and light coffee, fairly watery characteristic, slightly astringent.

12/23/13. 22oz bottle from Moline Hy Vee. Upping my Iowa Cred while visiting the QC. Black pour with a small tan head. Big roast on the aroma, lots of coffee, mild chocolate sweetness. Less coffee in the flavor, hints of chocolate and ash, some maltiness, finishes dry with a surprisingly thin body. Not bad.

Bottle shared by drowland at xmas, pours black with a thin brown head, the aroma was sweet with a little bit of coffee mixed in, the flavor has some coffee on the front but not what I was hoping for, the finish is sweet with a little bit of chocolate, not terrible.

Pours black with some red highlights and brown head. Aromas of smoke and coffee. Flavours of fresh coffee with a dark chocolate finish. Decent.

A nice coffee stout. Black with offwhite head. Pretty much just coffee going on here, but I still found it enjoyable despite its one-dinemensionality.
