Our Coffee Stout is rich and smooth with just a hint coffee flavor. It is crafted using five different malted grains, which results in dark color and flavors of chocolate and heavily roasted malt. We then partnered with Des Moines based U.S. Roasterie to select a Mocha Java coffee to add depth and flavor to beer. We think it turned out great and hope you will agree!

Bomber shared by Folty at Darkness Day 2012 - thanks! Dark pour with minimal head. Kind of a simple coffee and slightly sweet taste. Not bad.

22 ounce bottle thanks to ekoerper, thanks a ton Ed, poured a dark black color with a nice khaki head, aromas of coffee, roast, and some light caramel. Flavors were all cold pressed coffee, with some light roasted malt, and a touch of vanilla. Really surprised by this beer, another great morning tailgating beer, canít thank you enough Ed.

Aroma- nice mocha and coffee on the nose. Burnt caramel hints as well. Appearance: This is a stout alright. Even the head is tinted black. Taste: Very interesting. It has nice burnt sweet caramel flavors and a bitter finish from the coffee. Palate: the mouthfeel is lighter than a normal coffee stout. Makes this a bit easier to drink in someways because of the bitter coffee finish. The combination keeps you coming back. Overall: Really enjoyable. Had this on tap and out of the 22 oz bomber. Didnít notice a difference b/t the two. Iíd recommend this beer for someone who isnít super into heavy stouts. The mouthfeel is more like a guinness or a black IPA-- itís really quite drinkable and balanced.

Dark brown with a light brown head. Good coffee aroma, plus coffee and roasty flavor with some chocolate in the taste. Coffee flavor is about right as well, not overwhelming. Nice coffee stout.

Dark brown pour, brown head. Aroma is coffee up front, roast and chocolate. Lots of coffee flavor, cocoa nibs, roast, light lactose tartness. Good!
