COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Coffee Stout is rich and smooth with just a hint coffee flavor. It is crafted using five different malted grains, which results in dark color and flavors of chocolate and heavily roasted malt. We then partnered with Des Moines based U.S. Roasterie to select a Mocha Java coffee to add depth and flavor to beer. We think it turned out great and hope you will agree!

A nice coffee stout. Black with offwhite head. Pretty much just coffee going on here, but I still found it enjoyable despite its one-dinemensionality.

Black pour with a 3 finger, mocha head that has good retention and leaves some lacing. Aroma is roast, roasted nuts, dark caramel, a hint of earthy charand molasses. Flavor is sweet nutty toffee and chocolate syrup right away, followed by some charred roast, roasted nuts, bready yeast, light metallic notes, dark toasted bread and burnt sugar. Medium body with a slightly dry, and more slightly oily feel, light but a tad sharp carbonation. Solid, but not spectacular coffee stout.

Pours pitch black with a brown head. Nose of coffee and some sweet chocolate. Wonderful aroma of coffee, with some hints of chocolate. Not as balanced and deep as I expected, but decent coffee aroma.
