COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Light and crisp, our Honey Pilsner has great flavor for an easy drinking beer. It is golden in color, with subtle fruit-like flavors balanced with noble hops. A delicate floral aroma is achieved with addition of honey, which is sourced from the Ebert Company, an Iowa-based apiary. Drink carefully, you might catch a buzzzzz!

Poured from draft at Jasper winery, serves Madhouse brewery only beers. Can definitely taste the honey but it leaves a lot to be desired. Boring wheat beer with not much going on

Tap - fair size foamy head, clear medium gold color, light crisp balanced aroma and flavor, definitely some sweetness from the honey, mild noble hops, would be very refreshing for the upcoming summer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Really not too bad - clear golden pour with a small white head, plenty of honey sweetness. Not great, but drinkable. Better than I was expecting.

12oz bottle sent by randomgarbage a while back, finally just now opening, pours a clear gold with a thin white head, aroma is pretty sweet with just a little bit of hops coming through, pretty boring, flavor has a sweet front end with an even sweeter finish, pretty crisp and clean though, nothing stands out as crazy good but it’s drinkable.

Pour is a gold, good carb bubbles, short head, slight haze. Aroma is a little bread and mild mineral- honey, slight fruit/floral.Maybe just more of some yeast ester. Taste is light carmel/honey with spice, slight bit of funk, kind of a peppery flavor overall more noticable in the finish. Some corn-grainy/slight dms. Some citrus lemon- orangeness.Mildly creamy, softness, light crisp finish. Kind of has a fake sugar diety taste to it that I cant get over. Didnt care for the finish/overall taste.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Light grainy, straw aroma. Malty, honey, sweet flavor. Unobtrusive, easy drinking lager, but nothing special.

22oz bottle from Johncy’s Liquor Store in North Liberty, IA. Pours a crystal clear, golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has a bit of a honey sweetness to a plain, somewhat grainy pils malt backing. A touch of an herbal hopping and a slight lager fruit note. Flavor is similar. A bit of a honey sweetness to a simple, somewhat grainy, pils malt backing. A light fruit note with a bit of an herbal hopping that finishes slightly sweet from the honey. Somewhat dry with a very light bitterness before leaving a short aftertaste. Light body and a somewhat lively, softer carbonation. Overall, a pretty simple pilsner. The honey provides a light sweetness to go along with the light pilsner malt and herbal bitterness. Not terrible, but eh...

Wow. what an interesting beer. It’s nice to find a Pilsner with some flavor that isn’t just hops. I think we’ve all had plenty of the PILS+NOBLE HOPS to know that change is needed and can be good. I like the flavor of this Pilsner a lot. To me, it actually stands out. The honey really dries out this beer to give it a crisp finish, accented by the sweetness of the honey malt. It isn’t the most complicated flavor profile, but it is a Pils so that’s exactly what I was looking for. Something that was drinkable, smooth, and flavorful. I’d say it could use some malo-dextrin for better head retention, but other than that the floral and subtle honey flavors are great. --Tried bottle and draft.

Aroma is grains and sweetness. The flavor is sweetish malts, an undertone of hops and a smooth finish. I normally don’t care for honey lagers because the honey ruins the flavor; this was decent enough, the sweetness wasn’t to forced or fake, although a bit too sweet for a pilsener.
