Bottled sample from Happy Harrys. Was very happy to have grabbed this beer. Very tasty brown ale. Bit sweeter than most. Nice maple flavouring with good amount of hops.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very dark brown with a nice, tan, well retained head that leaves nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is nutty, chocolaty, a little boozy with some dark fruit and mild roastiness.
The flavor is roast & nutty with a big woody character. The bitterness level is nice but it’s not got a lot of hop flavor, which is sort of fine. The beer is lightly sweet but really very boozy.
The palate is sharp and a little hot.
