On tap at the brewpub Pours a deep amber color with a decent head and retention. Finally some hops. Smells of citrus and grapefruit with a bit of an earthy undercurrent. Taste is citrus, bread, earth. Well balanced pale ale with a decent taste. Thinnish body with a bitter resinous mouthfeel and a watery mouthfeel. Decent pale

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of floral hops, caramel malt. Flavor of odd tasting malt with a harsh and abrasive bitterness. I’m not sure what went wrong here (it didn’t taste infected so I’m suspecting possibly a dirty tap line?), because this is just awful. 6/4/4/1/9 [2.4/5]

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pored a clear gold with an amber hue and an off-white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had notes of pine and rich bread with a bit of backing grapefruit. Flavor began with pine and was joined by a nice grapefruit note and was backed by rich bread throughout. A real nice beer.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours coper with a tan head. Smells of fuggles hops, some earthy undertones, restrained malt. Tastes peppery with a hint of bitterness balancing the subtlety of the malt profile. Easy drinking and sessionable.

Sampler at restaurant. Fuggles, East Kent Goldings. Aroma is spicy hops and slight fruit. Great hoppy flavor, very drinkable and hardly bitter. Body was slightly thin. My favorite of all the beers in the sampler.

Hoppy and watery. Not much else. A simple tasting pale. The watery flavor is very refresshing must be something in the water up here. Enjoyed

A hazy dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, classy c-hops, biscuitty malt, nice and pungeant. In mouth, a nice malty pale ale with light floral hops, grapefruits, good. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, August 2 2009.
