2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 johnnnniee (1000) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 6, 2011
On tap at the brewpub
Pours a clear reddish brown color with a smallish tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Smells of cherries and other dark pitted fruits, alcohol and a plastic phenolic in there as well. Taste is a mix of cherry syrup and alcohol on top of a malty backbone. Medium to thick body, light carbonation, sweet sticky mouthfeel. I had high hopes for this one, but as has been my experience with Madison brewing thus far this beer is OK but nothing special.

A dark clear reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A light caramel aroma, light British aroma. In mouth, a rather weird nutty roasted malt, a bit light. Not bad, but not outstanding. On tap at brewpub, August 2 2009.
