mjg74 (1803), La Mesa, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bottle from Connor, MT. Brownish amber in color. Caramel malty aroma. Some breadiness as well. Malty flavors. Kind of roasty. A little bit of sweetness. Not great. kyzr (962), Belgrade, Montana, USA Jun 28, 2006 Copper color with very litle head. Nose of light roasted malt. Carmalized sugar up front with a light hoppy body to it. Clean light finish. BückDich (4559), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 13, 2006 Sampled at the NABA 06 Fest: Pours a dark tawny color with an average looking head and lacing. Nose of light tangy malts, a touch of peat and some grassy creamy character. The flavor is unbalanced with a bit of alcohol showing through and a lack of hopping to make an unpleasant drinker here. It’s not as bad as I’m making it out to be, there are some solid flavors and smells going on, but if you cared not for those, you wouldn’t like this. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Jun 10, 2006 (draft) Clear copper body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some earthy, cherry. Taste is moderatey sweet, caramel, peach, light earthy. Some stickiness, medium-full body. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jun 8, 2006 @ Brewers Fest - Very big on the caramel and toffe toasted malts, on the lighter side with just a hint of mellow smokiness in the background.
