COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The subtle malt backbone combats the bitterness and intensity of floral, grassy, and citrus hop flavors. However, taste is perception. Whatís your slant?

Solid straight forward IPA. Golden pour with thin white head and light lacing. Hops are a mix of subtle citrus and earthy/grass. Well balanced. Dig it.

Can dated mid July. Pours a hazy yellow/orange with medium fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, floral. Flavor had some lemon, grapefruit, pine, flower, and hints of tropical fruit surprisingly. Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, smooth finish. Drank much much much easier than a 7% beer. I had this gone is a few minutes time.

Dated sometime in June (bad print) poured in to a snifter/tulip on July 23. Look - Darker yellow. Thick ivory head with fine to medium bubbles. Lacing. Smell - Light pine. Light resin. Light lemon. Light grapefruit. Taste - Malt. Followed by pine. Followed by grapefruit and other citrus. Finishes back to malt. Feel - Well carbonated but doesnít really explode. Tingle on tongue. Medium body. Overall - This is MadTreeís butter. Not a terrible IPA. I am surprised with the 6.9% as it drinks like a session. Pick up their IIPAS! Galaxy High!

On a wet and cloudy evening, this pale golden ale is light on the tongue with no bitter aftertaste

This might be a little more sweet than is ideal but is still a pretty tasty IPA. Itís orange w/ a foamy head. This is hop forward, of course, w/ lots of sweet orange peel especially. There is also some pine and a bit of woody character. As mentioned, this is a touch on the sweet side w/o but does seem to have a nice bready malt character which seems to emphasize a floral element from the hops. It finishes w/ earthy bitterness that is maybe just a touch on the harsh side. Overall, Iíd call this a near miss. It has a really nice, complex hop character but then some minor problems as well. I will hopefully get a chance to try it again sometime and see if itís not improved.

12 oz cans, $9.99 / 6 pack at Giant Eagle. Lighter golden color; not much head, and not much lacing except for at the top of the glass where the head used to be. Aroma malt, biscuit, grain, grapefruit and orange, caramel, grass. Flavor more of the biscuit and pale malts, crisp, and floral. Tough call on the palate: Solid medium body, almost smooth carbonation, yet a little coarse and watery and almost hard to describe. Overall a nice, pleasant, easy IPA; not quite dull but not far from it. My first try at this brewery, this didnít blow me away, but itís solid, and Iíll probably buy this again at some point.

Can. Pours golden orange with an off white head. Sweet malty base, mild floral, notes, and some flavorless astringent hop bitterness. Meh, this is fine. Not great.
