The subtle malt backbone combats the bitterness and intensity of floral, grassy, and citrus hop flavors. However, taste is perception. What’s your slant?

12oz can courtesy of Brooke. Orange pour, white head. Aroma of grass, lemon, pine, malt. Tastes are balanced malt and citrus with herbal vibe. Leaves a light bitter and sweet citrus finish. Pretty nice.

Pours a clear golden orange from the can with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave a lasting cap and moderate lace. Aroma is definitely hop forward, citrus and floral notes with a hint of minty soap. Taste is more balanced to the malt backbone, but a resinous hop bitterness is definitely there lingers on the tongue. Soft carbonation, nice full body and no real booze presence.

Can. Golden with small white head. Aroma of malt and resinous and grassy hops. Medium body with resinous hop bitterness upfront, a slight soapiness, and a decent malt backbone.

32 ounce growler. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with some orange tints and about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like floral and citrusy (orange peel, grapefruit) hops, and some bready malt. It tastes like floral/herbal hops, citrusy (grapefruit, mango, citrus peel) hops, and some caramel and bready malt. There’s also a nice bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick with moderate carbonation. I think it’s a good IPA, I wouldn’t mind picking this up again. Worth trying for sure!

Can thanks to DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy amber color with a small foamy head that fades normally and leaves some webbing. Big grassy and floral hop aroma with a hint of citrus. The hops in the taste seem a bit stale. Very grassy, very dry. Some flowers in the very bitter finish. Not bad but not my kind of IPA.

(Thanks Peter "phaleslu") Can. A- Citrus, piney, minty, caramel. A- Golden color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, mint, bitter, piney, herbs, subtle caramel. P- Medium body, sharp texture, average carbonation, lingering bitter finish. O- Can’t say that I really enjoyed this one. It seemed like there was a lot of mint in here. Not sure where that was coming from. The citrus stood out and made it quite sweet which was pleasant but the floral bitterness was just not balanced out.

Can from Peter's free beer contest. THANKS DUDE! Pours light copper orange, mostly clear and ever so slightly hazy, with a half finger white head. Aroma of bitter piney orange rinds, flowery notes, with sweet caramel in the back. Flavor is bright bitter orange peel with a rather present caramel malt backbone for a single IPA. Sweet orange peel finish that lingers with dry pine bitterness. Resinous, with medium carbonation. A nice brew all in all.

Can. Orange/lime malt and orange peel aroma. Medium yellow with large head. Sweet lime/orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel/grass flavor. Nicely blended. Excellent.
