The subtle malt backbone combats the bitterness and intensity of floral, grassy, and citrus hop flavors. However, taste is perception. Whatís your slant?

Pours a clear golden color with a large slightly off-white head. Aroma of grassy and floral hops....it seems to me they tried to really model this beer after Two Hearterd Ale. Not that that is bad but it just didnít come across to me as a genuine effort. Centennial hops are the main show here with some caramel introduced as well. Meh. Itís ok.

12oz can into a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a one finger, thick white head. The hops in this really smack you in the face with lemon/lime and tropical citrus notes. There is really a lot of grass that comes through as well. Just the slightest bit of vanilla too. Creamy lemon and lime in the flavor followed by some juicy tropical fruit; closely follows the aroma. Very crisp bitterness wit enough malt to keep the hops from being overwhelming. Everything cleans up very nicely towards the finish with some light bread and just the tiniest bit of sweetness. Overall, a very good IPA from a smallish regional brewery. Impressive from a young brewery and really deserves to be better known.

On tap at Alehouse 1890 in lancaster ohio. Served in a frosted pint glass. this beer was a medium golden beer that was slightly hazy with a firm head of small off white bubbles. nose was crisp with grapefruit and a hint of evergreen hops. Taste was a good crisp acrid hop bite. Body was lively and a bit silky. Finish was good bitters. A very nice IPA

Golden beer out of the can with a sticky white head. Perfumey nose with some sweet citrus notes. There is a melange of hop flavors, with lots of grass and bitter orange peel. Long grapefruit rind bitterness in the finish. There is just too much rough grass in here for me to really enjoy it.

This beer was just a little off. Sweet body. Mild. The finish was kind of strange. Almost a synthetic bitterness. Something that didnít seem attributed to the hops.

Fairly harsh for an ipa with a nice hop aroma on the nose. A decent medium gravity ipa. Not balanced. Bit still enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours slightly hazy bright yellow creamy white head. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, light toast, faint mango, and light floral hops. Flavor is dry malts, light hop bitterness, fresh light fruit esters, and light toast; dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

Can, as pictured, as part of a t-shirt exchange. Pours a hazy cloudy golden with a nice little white head. Has a boozy feel to it, feels stronger than the actual ABV. A little bit of a wine feel to it. Not bad, different than I was expecting for an IPA, but nice.

Can. From Brigadier, possibly? Thanks! Cloudy golden amber, thin white head. Aroma of peppery citrus. Taste is bitter pine and finish, dry finish.
