COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The subtle malt backbone combats the bitterness and intensity of floral, grassy, and citrus hop flavors. However, taste is perception. Whatís your slant?

This might be a little more sweet than is ideal but is still a pretty tasty IPA. Itís orange w/ a foamy head. This is hop forward, of course, w/ lots of sweet orange peel especially. There is also some pine and a bit of woody character. As mentioned, this is a touch on the sweet side w/o but does seem to have a nice bready malt character which seems to emphasize a floral element from the hops. It finishes w/ earthy bitterness that is maybe just a touch on the harsh side. Overall, Iíd call this a near miss. It has a really nice, complex hop character but then some minor problems as well. I will hopefully get a chance to try it again sometime and see if itís not improved.

12 oz cans, $9.99 / 6 pack at Giant Eagle. Lighter golden color; not much head, and not much lacing except for at the top of the glass where the head used to be. Aroma malt, biscuit, grain, grapefruit and orange, caramel, grass. Flavor more of the biscuit and pale malts, crisp, and floral. Tough call on the palate: Solid medium body, almost smooth carbonation, yet a little coarse and watery and almost hard to describe. Overall a nice, pleasant, easy IPA; not quite dull but not far from it. My first try at this brewery, this didnít blow me away, but itís solid, and Iíll probably buy this again at some point.

Can. Pours golden orange with an off white head. Sweet malty base, mild floral, notes, and some flavorless astringent hop bitterness. Meh, this is fine. Not great.

12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass. Clear light golden, light body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is herbal hops. Not my thing.

Caramel malt aroma, with a touch of citrus. Pours a clear light amber with a thin white head. The hops come through much more in the flavor, with a bright punch of lemon, floral notes, and a pith bitter finish. Medium bodied, and easy to drink. A good IPA

12oz can pours out crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is earth tones herbal hops floral notes and some sweetness. Taste is more of the hop mix and a solid malt.

Can pours amber/orange with a big white head that leaves very nice lace. Aroma is kind of weak, some fruit and floral, mild caramel backbone, nothing jumps out, underwhelming. Taste is more of an earthy and floral hop and is decently bitter, but it just feels lacking. Not bad, but not memorable.

Canned March 13, 2015.
Glass: Forgotten Boardwalk tulip.
Appearance: The body is sparkling with perfect clarity and a golden amber hue. The head is tall and dense with an off-white color.
Aroma: Mildly malty with caramel and toast that are balanced by citrusy and floral hops. Might be some diacetyl here.
Taste: Malty pale ale with the backend having a pretty big caramel and toast lingering sensation with some diacetyl. Hops are mellow, some bitterness with citrus and floral notes, but this is way malty and buttery.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Beautiful can, but they have made this too malty and diacetyl is present.

Thick white head gives way to clear pale fruitiness. Full of citrus and grapefruit. Awesome!
