COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The subtle malt backbone combats the bitterness and intensity of floral, grassy, and citrus hop flavors. However, taste is perception. What’s your slant?

12oz can pours out crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is earth tones herbal hops floral notes and some sweetness. Taste is more of the hop mix and a solid malt.

Can pours amber/orange with a big white head that leaves very nice lace. Aroma is kind of weak, some fruit and floral, mild caramel backbone, nothing jumps out, underwhelming. Taste is more of an earthy and floral hop and is decently bitter, but it just feels lacking. Not bad, but not memorable.

Canned March 13, 2015.
Glass: Forgotten Boardwalk tulip.
Appearance: The body is sparkling with perfect clarity and a golden amber hue. The head is tall and dense with an off-white color.
Aroma: Mildly malty with caramel and toast that are balanced by citrusy and floral hops. Might be some diacetyl here.
Taste: Malty pale ale with the backend having a pretty big caramel and toast lingering sensation with some diacetyl. Hops are mellow, some bitterness with citrus and floral notes, but this is way malty and buttery.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Beautiful can, but they have made this too malty and diacetyl is present.

Thick white head gives way to clear pale fruitiness. Full of citrus and grapefruit. Awesome!

This is terrible ipa. Shouldn’t even be classified ipa as its grassy and no hop character. Not my style of ipa and not enjoyable.

Lightly hazy orange with a white head. Pine and floral hops with a chunk of resin. Nice bitter finish with light sweet malts. Round and soft body. Good.

Shot (206) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JAN 30, 2015
From a can. Pours hazy gold with a rocky white head. Substantial cling. Floral and resiny hop aroma, apricot and grapefruit. There’s an immediate piney, resinous hop punch with the first sip; slightly sweet in the middle--stone fruits--and then a peppery floral hop finish. Fairly dry for such a big beer. The hops are powerful, but don’t linger. Not a hop sledgehammer, but definitely a right hook. Oily mouthfeel. Not bad.

Pours dull orange with a small white head. The aroma has caramel malts, fruity hops, mushiness, light citrus and perfume/powder. It has a medium crisp harsh body with minor sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with heavy grapefruit zest, some pine and very dry crackery malt. The finish is a bit more on the piney side. Nice harsh IPA.

From notes. Tasted on 8/22/13 on draft at the brewpub during a baseball trip with Adam and Taylor. Pours clear golden with an average white head that slowly recedes to sticky, average lace. The nose is floral pine resin hops with light caramel malt. The flavor is a bit maltier, still a lot of resin and more fresh, bright pine needle, pleasant bitterness. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long resin bitter finish.

Pours a light orange with no head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, bitter with a malt presence. Taste is bitter citrus with a solid malt backbone. Not bad.
