COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Raspberries and chocolate go together like two peas in a pod. But donít worry, thereís no peas in the Rubus Cacao. Rather the sweet chocolate, roasty bitterness and dark raspberry fruit combine in perfect harmony. Who knows, the Rubus might even become the pea in your pod!

On nitro at Madtree last month. Classic red/dark brown clear khaki head. Raspberry jam, pie filling, chocolate sauce. Moderate roast, earthy, light fruit tang. Nitro body, lasting coffee-sludge finish. Nice.

Can to sampler that poured a dark brown to almost black with a smallish mocha head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and hints of raspberry almost like raspberry preserves. The flavor was about right with the aroma nice blend of roasted malts and dark chocolate and a little more raspberry in the middle and on the end. Nicely balanced start to finish. A solid stout.

Location: 12oz can purchased at Meijer in westerville Appearance: Darker brown with touches of red. Head is fine layer of tiny tan bubbles. Nose: Sweet medium roasted malt with a touch of fruit at the end. Based on the deScription it seems raspberry, but without the suggestion Iím not sure itís so certain. Taste: Immediately tangy, lighter coffee roast. Hint of sweetness. Toasted nuts and a decent amount of candy raspberry in the mid to late swallow. A bit of a shorter roasted finish Body: softer carbonation. Just a bit of silk. Medium body. Parting thoughts: Not what I was expecting. A little less chocolate raspberry, than I was envisioning, but still a good subtle but certain fruit presence.

12 ounce can, canned on 02/12/2016. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with about an inch frothy tan head that stayed around for a little while. Thereís also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like milk and bittersweet chocolate, raspberries, and roasted malt. I think the taste is just like the aroma, itís all chocolate, raspberry and roasted malt. Thereís a lot of sweet and bitter flavor that works really well together, neither one overpowers the other. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked it, definitely worth picking up if you like fruited stouts. $2.59 for a single can.

Sample at Mad Tree on 3/1/16. Darkest brown in color with a medium tan head. Nose of malt, berry and some chocolate. Malty flavor with artificial raspberry giving way to a vanilla and chocolate finish.

Smell - Light chocolate. Raspberry. Sweet. Malt. Taste - Very watery Big Luscious. Light chocolate. Light raspberry. Almost a brown ale with light chocolate and fruit. Bubblegum. Feel - Light feel. No alcohol at all. Watery. Overall - Big Luscious Light. It isnít that I donít like it, just want more out of it. Just as I remembered on tap a year ago.

Draft pour into a pint glass. Pours a dark brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has berries and chocolate with some pleasant roast. The berry sweetness is really nice in this beer. Medium body and medium to higher carbonation. Pretty nice beer.

Pours dark brown with tan head. Light to medium body. Chocolate with a lot of raspberries. I would like a way more bold dark chocolate taste and less raspberry.
