Can. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity grainy aroma. Fruity grainy watery flavor with some weak hints of hops. Has a fruity grainy malty finish.

Clear golden with a tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma with grainy and mild hoppy notes. Flavour was sweet and malty with hints of hops. Very watery.

Bottle, 5.2%. Clear golden colour. The flavour is a little grainy, but clean enough. OK refreshing, but not a real pleasure.

New recipe. Based on one sampling, beats the old by a long shot. Pale gold color with healthy, fairly sturdy white head. Nose has a bit of light corny-malt but also a definite herbal, grassy hop tinge. Nice moderate bitterness, fairly lively and dry. Utterly drinkable and bitterness is refreshing. No world-beater but now better than Belgium’s other megacorporate lagers, whereas before I found it one of the worst.

Brought home from Costa Brava. Clear golden with a medium white head. First i was unsure of the style since the aroma seemed abit odd. Herbal and lemony, then after it settles there is just nothing there. Flavor is sweeter than the avarage with makes it quite drinkable. Really low bitterness.

New Maes *extra malt* Bottle, yellow golden colour and stable white head. Grainy, sweet, bitter, malty in the aftertaste. Very subtile pils! The tuned Maes so much up! (I don’t know why the beer doesn’t get another name?) Old Maes: 1.1/5 *I tasted the old version of Maes. The date of the bottle was exceeded. Bwéék .. A stinking smell. Very watery beer without any character. (overall impression very bad, and surely because of the bad bottle)*

Gag me, the worst drink of my trip I would never drink this again. Its flat, stale, and has no taste.
