COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional bock-beer-speciality of Castle Eggenberg. This beer is brewed only seasonally and therefore available during Christmas and Easter holidays. Careful and slow fermentation and maturation make Festbock a desired beer not only in Austria but also in Italy, where it is exported in 30 lt. kegs.

Bottle in Genoa purchased from Enoteca Squillari as ’Birra Magalotti 1845 Doppio Malto Bionda’. Clear gold beer, good white head. Light palate, a little dry. Sweet pale malt, almost sugary sweet. Creamy as well. Some buried marmaladey citrus prevents stepping over the line to ’sicklyville’. Dry finish. Not terrible!

.33l bottle as ’Magalotti Doppio Birra’ (an alias) in Umbria, Italy. Pale, slightly heavy lager pour. mild malt, slightly higher alc nose to normal local lager. Ok, not terrible, slightly heavy sour and touch of bittering. typical euro strong

Bottle in Italia as magalotti 1845. Light blonde to golden colour, small head. Sweety aroma and and a sweetish taste, a bit dry, with hone6y and almonds. A bit alcoholic but not that that bad.

Bottled 0,33L. BIRRA MAGALOTTI BOCK 1845. Intense golden color, very good bubbly aspect. Modest resistance head duration. Much gaunt aroma, realy inconsistant. Good taste with notes of "aged honey", mellow, clear aged grapes, sweet caramel final.

330ml bottle. Clean, clear amber with a deep white ehad that sits proudly . Hard to detect distinguishable aromas, mild and almost non-existent.. Strong medicinal perfume flavour that leaves an impression on the palate. Okay without being exceptional.

Bottle of Magalotti in Lago Garda, Italy. Quite enjoyed this. Nice gold body with medium head. Corny nose. Nice taste of malts, caramel and toffee. A bit watery but fine in consistence.
