Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark chocolate, dusty. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, dark chocolate, dark roasted malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100407]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge bubbly dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, and roasted malt - very inviting. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of dark chocolate, and some cocoa, as well as hints of vanilla, leading to a dry roasted finish, where the chocolate notes lingers for a long time.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate and roasted malt. Mild caramelish and roasted malty flavoured. Lingering yeasty and fruity into finish. Smooth chocolate malty finish.

Bottled@CPH BeerFest2010. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is fruits, chocolate, roasted malts, toffee and some mild vanilla as well. Flavour is roasted malts, toffee, mild dark dry fruits, some raisins and ashes.

Bottled at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Near black, minimal head. Coffee aroma. Dryish with light-medium body and rather clean mouthfeel. Some chocolate flavour. Salty finish. Fairly pleasant, but too clean to be really interesting.

Bottle at KØ10. Smells more of liquorice than coffee to me. Very dark brown colour, seems cloudy. The flavour is OK roasted, has a little chocolate, but very mild. Perhaps some chocolaty bitterness.
