COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: comes with vintage printed on the label. ABV may vary a little from vintage to vintage.

Bottle (50cl) from Magasin Mad & Vin, Copenhagen. Batch RØ86 (BB 14.10.2010). Hazy reddish brown colour. Huge off-white head, leaving some lacing. Aroma of caramel, smoked wood, yeast, honey, hint of licorice (fennel?). Medium-bodied, fizzy carbonation. Long, quite sweet aftertaste, not much bitterness, yet good balance. Somewhat reminiscent of a tripel. Enjoyed the smoke element a lot.

clear brown, smooth offwhite head. nutty, dry caramelly, a little bitterhoppy aroma. a little sweet malts, a little roasted malts. flavor is quite bitter, somewhat spicy (peppery sort of) sweetness , perhaps from the honey. does taste like a beer from an ancient recipe, but quite tasty. Nice non-offending brown beer. ends slightly roasted stuff, spicy and slight english licorice.
