PorterPounder (3129), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Nov 6, 2009 Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors, 22 oz bomber. One of those beers I always thought I had rated - had it plenty of times on tap - only bought it because of the price ($2.49 - glad I did!). Dark golden pour, sticky, thick white head.Fruity aroma -hard to describe - some peaches, yeast, a hint of spice. Flavor has some buttery notes, a hint of spice, faint citrus notes. Mouthfeel has a pleasant spritziness to it. Remionds me somewhat of a Saison. BeerBlockaid (534), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Nov 6, 2009 Bomber @ Total Wine. They had signs on the front doors announcing it’s arrival. How dare they excite me like that. Found it, and the price was $2.99. Hmm, looked again.....2.99...this can’t be good. Pours golden-orange. Nose is sweet and there are some fruits present. Peaches, pears, orange, and apricot. Slightly malty as well. Taste is a slightly malty, faintly bitter and rather sweet, with apricot, orange, and that peach juice left at the bottom of a tin of peaches. Clean all around, but does not fit well with this season. Bad marketing? Overall it is OK but seriously reflects it’s low price. Balance it up a bit lads, this beer is not a fruit beer. Finhead (55), Illinois, USA Nov 5, 2009 Updated: Nov 6, 2009A deep golden pour with a small white head. The aroma is sweet peaches with some hops and hint of caramel malt. The taste begins sweet and fruity, then finishes on a slightly sour note. moose85uofa (15), Alabama, USA Nov 4, 2009 Bottled. Very sweet with a burst of peach and apricot flavoring. Light on the palate and very smooth going down. Great for the late spring and early summer. savnac (391), Palmer, Alaska, USA Nov 3, 2009 12 oz bottle. Clear golden yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of peach, with trace amount of caramel malt and hops. Sweet peach flavor with very light hop bitterness. Light crisp and clean but a bit to sweet for me. The peach flavor is a bit artificial tasting too. piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Nov 2, 2009 Draft sample at Stub & Herbs. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of candied apricot, lychee, and caramel. More of an apricot and peach combo in the mouth along with pale malts and a bit of toast. Somewhat sweet finishing. Not bad overall, but not something I’d be in a hurry to drink more of. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Oct 30, 2009 On tap. Clear golden pour, fairly large white head. Light malt, apricot, fruit, a bit of sweetness, and some dry bitter hops in the finish. Tastes like a very light pale ale with a touch of dry apricot. sethdude (600), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Oct 30, 2009 Pours slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is apricots and a mild whif of wheat. Flavor is Apricot, mild spices (clove, black pepper), a chewy section with a slight metallic off-note, and a grassy, dry finish. Very refreshing, though not overly complex or memorable.
