Pipper (113), Ohio, USA Jul 2, 2009 Poured into pint from bottle at The Winking Lizard. Lady brought me this beer instead of what I asked for so it was free, which is the only way I would ever drink this shit. Fruity apricot bandaid aroma, taste is about the same. Pale MGD pour with some lace and no head. No carbonation. Yuck but free. sinkhole (163), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 29, 2009 Pours golden orange with average white head. Aromas of citrus and caramel malts. Taste is somewhat complex, grapefruit and apricot fruitness mixed with caramels and yeast with a hint of a bitter hop finish. Very enjoyable, I look forward to trying this again. DeadGirl (48), New York, New York, USA Jun 27, 2009 On tap at "The Dead Poet" (NYC). An eclectic fusion of fruits and berries immediately punches the palette followed by a smooth wheat finish. Well-balanced. An easy, go-to beer when it comes to recommending a good summer ale for friends. spiritsbeerman (8), Nicholasville, Kentucky, USA does not count Jun 25, 2009 NOSE: Apricot , pear and grapefruit
POURS: Lots of carbonation nice golden color. A 2" head with lots of lacing.
TASTE: Wheaty with a nice apricot and pear flavor with little or no hops
FINISH: Sweet not much there.
A realy nice beer if a fruit ale is your thing. Very light and drinkable. Onslow (117), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Jun 25, 2009 On tap at Palmer’s, LaGrange Illinois.. I had no idea regarding the style, just ordered something I had not had before. If I had known it was a fruit beer I might have noticed the fruit. As it was I found it to be a rather light, sweet, well balanced, but somewhat nondescript brew. adavis234 (117), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Jun 22, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear, gold color with a lot of carbonation. Yeasty wheat nose with a hints of grapefruit and orange. Grapefruit, orange, apricot and other fruits dominate a fizzy mouthful. Sweet finish with not much aftertaste. Although this beer is ok, I don’t understand the adulation it receives from many beer drinkers. I also don’t really consider it a "not quite pale ale." lordsummerisle (17), New York, USA Jun 20, 2009 Very light beer with taste of pear, apricot, and faint hops. Nicely carbonated. Definitely a unique brew and totally drinkable, just nothing special in my mind. ALCOHOLNIZM (15), WARWICK, USA Jun 19, 2009 POURS GOLDEN WITH NO HEAD TASTES LIKE APRICOTS BUT VERY LIGHT ACTUALLY SEEMS LIKE A LIGHT VERSION OF APRIHOP ITS A VERY GOOD BEER BUT NOT GREAT ONE, TO WATERY
