Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Draft, bottle, ect. I’ve had this many times but never rated it. Pour is light golden/amber with a white head. Aromas of slight piney hops, citrus fruit, and some sweet malt. Flavor is watery with minimal hops and grapefruit. Decent and definetly a nice session brew.

Free pint at Coles, they messed up my food order on two counts but I love them. Ortangey-yellow with a dropping sticky white head, yeasty aroma with hints of sweet fruit. Taste apricot and it builds as I drink (at first it was a bit ’blech’) Attractive perfumey peach all over this thing...

tap @ OTH. Pours amber with thin white head. aroma had good notes of hops and bitterness with some light apricot nose. taste, med carbonation, some dry apricot notes and light malty mouthfeel with some lingering hop bitterness in the finish.

12 oz bottle. Poured a amber/gold color with frothy off-white head. Aroma of biscuity wheat and mild fruit. Taste doesn’t hit me like a fruit beer, it just tasted like a lager to me, with some wheat and faint fruit and hops. Medium smooth mouthfeel. Just OK, not really impressed with this one.

Pours dark gold with a thick creamy white head. Aroma is strong fruit (apricot) That’s all I can get from it. flavour is flat malt with biscuity tones trying to get through and semi tart fruitiness. very low hop.

Pours from bottle deep golden without head but a bit of lacing. Lean body and little hop presence; reminds me of a rich lager more than a pale ale. Slight aroma and some flavor of apricot puree in secondary. Slightly high carbonation.

I cannot quite put my finger on this one. Aroma got my attention, but the taste that ended up in my mouth did not match the smell that hit my nose as I drank. A slight hint of fruit (apricot/lsightly green peach). Finish was too dry for the fruit aroma in my nose.

Pint @ BDubs. Golden and clear, not much of a head. Inviting aroma of apricot and grass proves to be the best thing about the beer. Not enough hoppiness or malt character to accentuate the fruit. Overly sweet and a little watery. Meh.
