Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Bottle, Poured a rich golden color with a thin frothy head. The aroma was that of Wheat, Malts and Fruity (Apricot I think). The mouthfeel was excellent. It had great body and with a complexity of flavors. Great brew and worth a try!!

Bottle. Aroma of somewhat tart apricots and some leafy hops. Flavor follows suit, is slightly sweeter and juicier than expected, but still also has the tart side and the mildly hoppy side. What can I say, it hit the spot.

Can’t say I don’t enjoy this one. Nothing particualarly unique exceot for who makes an appricott bear, and they pull it off. The nose and taste both balance well.

Lovely golden color. Carbonated slightly. Smell is no indicator of how refreshing this beer is. Great mix of citrus and wheat. Excellent beer for a summer day. Light but still complex.

Poured into pint from bottle at The Winking Lizard. Lady brought me this beer instead of what I asked for so it was free, which is the only way I would ever drink this shit. Fruity apricot bandaid aroma, taste is about the same. Pale MGD pour with some lace and no head. No carbonation. Yuck but free.

Pours golden orange with average white head. Aromas of citrus and caramel malts. Taste is somewhat complex, grapefruit and apricot fruitness mixed with caramels and yeast with a hint of a bitter hop finish. Very enjoyable, I look forward to trying this again. Re-rate: found this on tap in Port Huron, MI. Boosting the Aroma, Palate and Flavor by 1 point each, Overall by 2. Excellent beer.

On tap at The Dead Poet (NYC): An eclectic fusion of fruits and berries immediately punches the palette followed by a smooth wheat finish. Well-balanced. An easy, go-to beer when it comes to recommending a good summer ale for friends. #032 on 27062009, DG.
