COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Bubbly golden body with a foamy, off white head that dissipates slowly and leaves foamy lace behind. Aroma is similar to a cherry flavored wine cooler. Fruity, slightly medicinal smell with hints of malt and hops. Flavor is different, tangy, hoppy, lagerlike, but with notes of fruit, strong ale yeast character in the finish. Hoppy peach finish with some nice alcohol in the palate. This is a neat beer that is fun to swirl around your mouth and try to identify all of the flavors it presents. Overall, for originality and character I give this beer a perfect 10.

Interesting apricot character in the nose and flavor. A clean, mostly dry fruit beer. Very easy drinking but not exceptionally complex.

Interesting. A small place in my heart for being part of my 21 b-day celebration, I enjoyed the spiciness of it, like a blend of gingerbread and a mild fruitiness.

Very interesting brew. Has a good blend of hoppiness and maltiness, with an unusual fruity hint to it, like a peach or apricot (but can’t put my fingers on it). Excellent beer.

Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized head. Light Fruity (apricot) and yeasty aroma and taste. This one really didn’t do anything for me.

Clear amber colored liquid with a nice head. lightly sweet and very fruit oriented aroma. Flavor is hoppy but with tinges of apricot. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Good summer type beer.

Draught at Blind Tiger Ale House, New York.
Foamy beige head, orange golden body. Somewhat artificial sweet fruity and peachy aroma. Smells like lemonade! Flavor is like a pilsener with little fruit added. Peach, flower and hop. Not very interesting.

Nice fruity smell to it, pours gold. Had the sweet and sour taste of apricot. Nice and smooth, felt good, nice beer,

This is an interesting brew. I am not a big fan of fruit beers and having said that, this is probably my most favorite. The fruit flavor is well balanced and not sickly sweet. Great label and marketing.
