2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Amber, creamy head.
Flavor is also overly perfumed, like in soap, strikes me as artificial, grainy cardboard in backgound.
Not my cup of tea

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured light orange with a big off white head. Had at around 55 degrees. Aroma of apricots and peaches, earthy hops. Flavor is all apricot with same earthy hops. Short finish. I thought this was good. I could drink more of this.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One word, Aprihop. It’s better. Sorry, deal with it. Pours deep gold light amber with a short white head. Aroma of barnyard, yeast, peach skins, light hops, toasted grainy malts. Fruit, peach more than apricot, a little licorice. Green hop bitter, sweet sappy resin. Balanced but not very deep in character. Decent.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Mad Raven in Waltham, Mass. Had a nice smoked fruit flavor - sort of like a dry fruit compot taste. Hopped and smooth.

Always a favorite. Nice pale ale with that mystery fruitiness- fig, prune, apricot. Nice hopped finish.

This is a unique tasting beer which tastes better to me as you work your way through the glass. Great lacing, and an interesting color.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very unique beer. Very stong fruity aroma (not sure I’d have pinpointed apricot if I wasn’t aware it was in there). Taste is sweet, with equal parts of fruit and hops. Aftertaste has a slight hoppy flavor, but is dominated by the fruit flavor. Not usually a fan of fruit beers but this one is unique and different. MUCH better draft than bottle.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2005 Fruit beers are not my thing, so I will say that I tried to like it an failed. The pour was kind of weak because there was no head. In the flavor I picked up a fig newton flavor which was kind of interesting. The mouthfeel was fine. This beer was just not my style.

Smooth beer with a hint of apricot. There really is nothing like it and it’s probably my second favorite Vermont brew next to Long Trail Ale. The first sip kindof suprises you because you don’t expect it. Very tasty.
