COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

on tap at Five Guys burgers/fries @ Greektown before wings game last night. This would be a good beer to drink on a hot summer day as it’s light and crisp with fruity flavor.. I tasted a lot of peach in it, but it wasn’t like wine cooler offensive. Needs more hops though. Probably wouldn’t want more than a couple

02-MAR-2011, bottle in Orlando, from Whole Foods. Exited to try this. Orange with white head that dies. Oranges and peach? Very fruity. Not that hoppy pale ale type but a very fruity one. A little too sweet. funny experience.

Wheat-y apricot, with a far too blunt of a flavor. The world did not need another wheat/apricot beer.

On tap served in a pint glass. Pours an amber golden clear color. Aromas of malt. Little bitterness. Not sure why it’s an almost pale ale. Some sweet fruit tastes come through. Aftertaste is an unpleasant almost skunky quality.

A - Pours a hazy yellow-golden color with a finger of head that has okay retention. Leaves behind an okay amount of lacing. S - The strongest smell is of the apricots. The overall aroma is very fruity and sweet, with a bit of a distinct sweet malt smell to it. T - Starts a bit bland, but very soon the fruitiness, in particular the apricot flavor, comes in. ITi s joined with some other fruit taste, like some tart apple and also some nice malt flavor that blends together the whole taste. The aftertaste is a mix of sweet and dry. M - Medium to light beer with a medium about of carbonation that is really crisp and refreshing. D - This is a very drinkable and very refreshing beer. It has a decent amount of flavor to it, and stays really crisp from start to end.

Great beer. One of my favorites. Always in the fridge. My only complaint is they are not a "local beer" anymore. But the taste, hoppiness and and after taste is great. One of my favorities.
