COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because thereís never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. It appears a macro like golden body with literally no head. Smells like candy, very artificial smell. The taste wasn't great, kinda bland. The palate is a bit thin. Nothing thrilling. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted in bottle. Definitely a fruity, slightly artificial taste. Leaves your mouth dry.

12oz bottle from Drum Hill Liquors, Chelmsford, MA. Dark amber with a ring of cream head; aroma is vegetable rather than fruit; as is the taste; and the finish is cloying after a brief spritzy fizz. Whatever the secret is, I donít really want to know.

Pours an off-amber hue. Smells are definitely fruity and almost floral. Really not a pleasant taste for me. Almost like red liquid medicine mixed with beer. Bittersweet finish and a lighter body. Although, better than most lagers at the bar. Nothing special.

From the looks, the bottle beer pours clear but little head. Aroma gives a great fruity smell. Taste is light and crisp. Surprisingly heavy as it goes down and leaves the pallet with a malty taste you want to wash down. Overall it is a fav of mine and I continue to order it anywhere it is on tap.

Pale clear amber colour. Bubbly white head. Yeast comes through the most strongly on the aroma. Light body, fizzy, leaves the mouth feeling dry. Strong sour, medicinal bitter (not hops bitter) finish. Not impressed. I definitely wonít be buying again. Didnít live up to its description.

On tap. Pours a clear copper with no head. Light aromas of fruity malts. Flavors of a malt liquor. Not impressed. Slightly above an industrial brew.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz bottle. Orange-gold color, slight lacy head. Taste is straw, lemon, a bit of bitterness. Surprisingly heavy mouthfeel, and my West Coast tastes definitely rebel a bit against this one. Nothing too special, but it isnít too bad.
