Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

One of my personal favorites. Has a very nice clean golden look to it. There is a enticing aroma of apricot and hops and a big and natural fruit flavor that meshes nicely with the malt. The hops are present and don't hide behind the apricot, but are not the main part of this beer. I bring back a 6 every time I go to New England.

(Bottle) Amber/orange in color with a small white head. Good hop flavor that is moderated by the apricots. Easy drinking; an very good beer that I'd never turn down.

Pours cloudy orange with a average head. Small apricot flavor and scent. Somewhat bitter, but enjoyable.

Bottled. Not a bad beer. I'm just not a big fan of Apricots. Kind of took away the hoppiness for me.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2008 [bottle] Amber color with a very thin head. Aroma of fruit, mainly apricots. Very interesting taste... fruity and crisp with nice malty blend and finish.

Good beer for just every day drinking. Light color, great flavor. A different and very enjoyable beer.

Appearance was cider-like, amber body and thin off-white head. Aroma had more than an essence of apricot. This was a great, refreshing beer. Apricot flavor did not taste processed, it's natural flavor blended well with the malt for a perfect level of sweetness. Magic Hat has brewed a solid beer with #9.

Have been partial to this beer for many years. Hazy orange and gold, creamy white head. Lots of apricot, earth and malt in the nose. Similar in taste, but you actually can feel the bittering hops battle the fruit to the end. Medium bodied with a dryish finish. Easy drinking on a warm summer day. I'll never kick #9 aside.

On tap - Waterfront Manhattan. A subtle fruity aroma. Mid brown colour with not much head. Fruity hoppy flavour but needing balance and served too cold. I didn't know this was a fruit beer at the time of drinking and am suprised to see its description. What fruit is it???

Mysterious indeed. Has a unique fruity part too it, unlike most any other. Very refreshing, not too heavy at all. The aroma is stupendous, giving off a very sweet scent.
