COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Dry peach aroma. Lightly sweet and acidic. Peachy golden ale with good carbonation. Musky grain undertones.

This IS a fun beer to drink. The fruity apricots blend well with the full ale body. Enjoyable, different and accessible.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2005 Original ratings June ’01/Nov ’02 8/3/7/3/13 3.4 May 2005: 12 oz bottle, quite cold. Pours a pale, very clear amber with almost no head. Green apricots in the nose, bit of wheaty sourness...body moderately sweet, fairly dry and somewhat salty/metallic towards the end, fruit subdued, sourdough-wheatiness fairly strong, light body, fairly refreshing and drinkable but quite forgettable.

Definitly a fruit beer. Good one for actual thirsty people, but not something I would drink all the time.

This is a girl beer, but a pretty good girl beer. A nice, light, bbq or party kind of beer.

I actually really like this stuff. It’s pretty good for summer, and is a good "starter beer", for people just getting into beer drinking. My girlfriend really likes it. There’s a light hint of some kind of citrus fruit i can’t place right now. (scroll down) Ah yes, apricot. Light, tasty, great for cookouts.
