COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

It might be easy to be put off by this beer’s exceptionally thin body at first, but once the flavors set it, this becomes less of a concern. A moderately hopped beer which emphasizes its fruity characteristics more than anything else. In fact, I wasn’t aware this was flavored with apricot initially, as I had it on tap; however I was able to pick up on its subtle tones. A great ale for the summertime.

By far Magic Hat’s worst offering. The apricot flavour is over powering.

Seemed like I was drinking carbonated water with cherry flavoring.

A favorite summer brew. The apricot flavor is not overpowering at all.

A fair to middlin pale Ale. Clean and crisp, nice malt and hop balance, drinkable, but not a larger favorite.
