Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy gold color with a two finger tan head. Aroma of citrus. Flavor is refreshingly fruity. Great summer brew.

Draft. Poured a nice coudy golden color with 1 finger of head. Aroma is hops, citrus, orange, and apricot. Taste is very similar, Over all a very enjoyable beer.

Had this one on draught at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Geneva, Illinois. Deep, cloudy amber color with a thick, tan head, a very refreshing fruity and bright hoppy nose, flavors are brassy, with pronounced fruitiness but complexity of baked bread and malt. Excellent balance, with a very smack-your-lips tasty finish. Outstanding.

Pours a dark golden, with an average head. Smells like a fruit basket, tastes similar. Nice balance of hops, light. Blueberries, apricot. I see where others are going with the wheat ale, but a nice summer brew.

Greetings from Virginia. Nice golden color with a small fluffy white head. Great floral aroma and taste with a decent hops presence and some really nice cherry notes to the taste. Quite good.

One of my absolute favorite beers. Pours a nice dark-golden hue with average to above-average head, fruity refreshing aroma and taste. More malt less hops, perfectly crisp and balanced for me.

(Bottle). Very floral fruity aroma. Hazy golden with average head. Flavor is unusual and distinctive.....mostly apricot. Not my style, but I see what they’re shooting for.

bottle poured into a pint glass - golden color with a fruity smell. it has a refreshing and fruity flavor to it. the first sip reminds me right away of Goose Island Blueberry Ale. i can’t pinpoint the fruits that went into making it but it’s good.
