Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Bottle. Pours light amber with a thin fizzy head that disappears quickly. Aroma is malt and overwhelming apricot. Bitter malty taste with that apricot coming through even more strongly. Refreshing and a sentimental favorite.

I great flavored beer with a clean yet tasteful finish. My favorite spring-time beer is Bell’s Oberon.. but even that doesn’t taste as well after a nice, cold #9 IMO.

Nice amber color with a light head. It had a slight apricot aroma. It had a crisp bite to it that was kind of refreshing.

Slightly hazy copper pour with thin head. Apricots through and through, although, not as much in aroma. Deliciously refreshing. Great for summer.

Pours apricot color with no head, foam, and it doesn’t lace the glass. It’s totally clean. Weak apricot, fruity aroma. Heavy, heavy bite, bland apricot flavor and fizzy, watery texture. Finish doesn’t have uch flavor, but the carbonation keeps on ripping at the roof of your mouth and a little on the tongue.
