defiantly a good beach beer jlruthven (134), Milledgeville, Georgia, USA Mar 31, 2008 I think I’ve found my new beach beer. Served almost ice-cold, which usually is a no-no, but appropriate here. Hops come through faintly in the background, with the infusion of apricot dominating, but not overpowering, the palate. Very clean finish. I could drink this all afternoon. smashteroid (227), USA Mar 30, 2008 Served cold from tap. Pours an amber color with a small head. Lots of fruits in the aroma, citrusy ones but I’m not good with fruit recognition so I’ll leave that for someone with a more discerning nose. The taste is very smooth, light malts, not a whole lot of flavor but some of the fruit is definitely there. A tiny bit of hops but mostly just an easy-to-consume beer with an intriguing flavor. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA Mar 29, 2008 The local place I usually go for New River Pale ale was out of that since those ding dongs in Old Dominion stopped brewing it. So I looked for something else on tap. Miller ... Bud .... Pyramid Hefe ... and this stuff, so I had one of these with lunch (BBQ brisket). Well, it was better than the other beers that they had on tap, but thats all. Not a fan of the flavor and not sure what was going on in the glass. I had no idea there are supposed to be apricots in here, the taste was less obvious to me than Aprihop. Not defective but I won’t be ordering this again. tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Mar 26, 2008 12oz bottle. My first Magic Hat.... Perfumy aroma of canned fruit cocktail, wet grass, cannabis, buttery chardonnay. Pours a bright clear, copper/gold with a thin white ring of a head. Pale malt, light grassy hops, plenty of buttery diacetyl, canned fruit. Creamy body, spritzy carbonation with a lingering buttery oiliness on the tongue. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Mar 23, 2008 12 oz bottle at Maggie Attic. Pours an orange amber with minimal head. Citrus and malt aroma. Taste is smooth slightly fruity, kind of an English pale ale body. Tasty, but nothing special. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Mar 20, 2008 Bottle from hopdog. Hazy gold, thin head. Aroma of light apricot and peach, as well as some citrus. Flavor of light apricot, with a moderate bready malt sweetness, and a nice soft bitterness in the finish. I liked the cross between an APA and a fruit beer. Interesting combo. MtStateBeer (74), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA Mar 15, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours an orange/amber color with average head. Smelled of hops, a little pine/citrus. Tasted the same, sweet with a light to medium body.
