Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Very light orange color, no head, foamy whtie edges. This one sinks. Smells like it will taste like seltzer water. Other beers that smell like this I haven’t liked. What I expected. No real flavor at all. This one shoud remain cloaked in secrecy. This is not a beer that I ever want to drink again.

One of my Favorite and the closest thing to a session beer (for me) I’ve found. Pours a bit of a copper color, with hints of fruit and hops, and the flavor matches. Hints of orange at first finishing with a slight hoppyness.

Got this 12oz beer in a trade and drank it back home in Ireland. I didn’t actually know that this was an apricot take on an APA until I poured it and the sweet hints hit my nose. They aren’t overpowering but they are really the only ones that I think is remarkable from the orangey pour with a light 1 finger head. As an APA the taste isn’t too strong, just some basic light malts but the apricot really is the remaining taste. Finishes on the dry side as the apricot kicks in on your tongue. It has more character than some APAs in the sense that there is some fruit twist to it, but I don’t detect much hops. Mouthfeel is alright but not too full. I think that you could drink multiple of these in one session, but it probably wouldn’t be something that I would want to drink consistently. I think that I would prefer more traditional APAs, but I’d recommend this to others who maybe want something a bit different in their APAs.

On tap at Z Lounge. Pours a nice light amber color with a think white head that doesn’t want to go away like an old psycho girlfriend. It leaves small thin lacing around the glass too by the way. Aroma was fruity, spicy, and a light scent of hops. Taste was that of apricots and other slightly sweet fruits mix nicely with the hops and grains to give this beer an interesting flavor. Definitely an enjoyable for me trying this beer, will most certainly try again.

An instant favorite. I was so confused and delighted by the apple-orange aftertaste while I was drinking it I had to keep going back for more.

Nice fruity, hopsy smell to it. Flavor is very light, with a nice yeasty aftertaste.

Bottle. Light amber pour w/ very little lacing. Hints of fruit, but not fruity! I enjoyed this offering, nice session beer.
