COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Draught. Golden yellow with little to no head. Fruity sweetness dominates, a little too sweet for my liking. No obvious flaws, but not my favorite.

(Draught) Golden and hazy. Medum sized white head. Fruity aroma. Light palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, lightly molasses, frutiiness, bitterness, bitterness, white bread and orange peel in aroma. Bitter and malty aftertaste. Refreshing and boring.

TreborWhip (297) - Reading, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2009
Bottle poured into a pilsner glass produced an off-white head with light amber body. Smells like a bouquet of flowers. Light fruit (pear/apricot) and sugars dominate the taste.

12 oz Bottle -- Light golden color with a white head. The fruit is very present on the nose. Very crisp and clean. This beer is pretty sweet with flavors of canned apricots.

Great infusion of apricot; crisp, light, slight tartness balanced by flavorful taste of grains.

arkurzynski (721) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 22, 2009
Pours light amber with thin head. Aroma of pears, apricots, and licorice (in a chemical sort of way). Tastes like watered down bitter apple juice. Not sure what people see in this one.

Clear light amber with a fleeting white head. Big canned fruit aroma with cereal grains. Light body. Apricot pit fruit flavor with lightly sweet pale malts.

A decent fruit beer. A sour finish, and cloudy, golden pour. Had it on tap.
