Apricot flavouring
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

16 Oz can poured. Can’t make out the date on this can, but I don’t think it’s the freshest out there. Copper pour with a high fizz head. Big fruity aroma. Peachy? But not quite the peach flavor I know and love. Carb is high. Fruity grain finish. Hmmm. What kind of beer is this? Weird.

Just OK - Not my kind of Beer. Has a very slight Wang to it - Subtle sweet Banana flavor.

#9 is an apricot fruit ale. And a great one at that! If you have never had a fruit or vegetable flavored beer give this a go. If you like it then you try other flavors. #9 also has decent mouth feel and body and is somewhat bready or as some would say: funky.. You gotta admire Magic Hat for saying this is their flagship beer since it is a bit adventurous, but it does work rather well.

Pours a clear orange beer with a standard head. Frutal aromas are perceived and when is tasted that impression is more clear, cranberry, lychee and apricot flavors come into as well as the malt flavors, but with a bad mix with the hop flavors. To be fair is something uncommon but too strange to be paired easily with food.

Pours a clear yellow, minimal head. Fruity aroma with a hint of spice. Texture is thin and watery. This will not set the standard for pale ales. Totally forgettable.

Aroma: Caramel, Citrus, Fruitiness, Apricots Appearance: Amber, clear to hazy, white head Taste: Heavy sweet, medium bitter Palate: light body, slick texture, average carbonation, long bitter/apricot finish Overall: Tastes like what I expect a Pale Ale with Apricots to taste like. Nothing crazy, but it’s a solid fruit ale. Nice clear and a bit fruity. I can see why it’s a gateway beer into other styles. It’s a bit too sweet for me and I’m not a fan of apricots, but it’s really not a bad beer.

Tasty fruit beer. Easy to drink and overall enjoyable. Nothing that really stands out but would drink again if on the menu.

Pours gold, moderately fizzy as opposed to a lasting head. Aroma is apricot, spice and somewhat musty. Taste has a lot of apricot, but nothing in either the aroma or flavor has anything resembling the piney hoppiness of an IPA. This just isn’t very good.

Arômes de limonade, ananas et lichi. Légèrement sucré. Vraiment original. Doux et sucré. En bouche, limonade, un peu de citron, jus d’ananas. Un côté sucré qui fait penser à du blé malté. (Gout de banane). Amertume douce, courte et maltée. Texture légère, corps moyen. Saveurs originales. Pas une bombe mais à essayer.

Very average. Flavour is forgettable, but not unpleasant. Slightly fizzy, not much head.
