afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 14, 2008 after giving one of these to moses and seeing that he didn’t like it I felt the need to drink one too. I saw on here that the recommended glassware is a flute so that is what I went with. the different glass really enhanced this beer as I now view it as a psuedolambic. pours an orange tinged yellow with a large fluffy head. the nose is a lot of fruit with a bit of a urine smell. the taste is crisp and tart with apricot and grapefruit front and center. feels sorta chucky going down, probably from the citrus. try it in a flute, it will change you perception of this beer. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 12, 2008 bottle. this beer is not for me. I don’t like fruit much esp. Apricot and this beer is big on Apricot. Smells of Apricot and tastes like it too. having said this if Apricot beer is your thing than you are in luck. It also has a watery taste. yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA Jan 8, 2008 Magic Hat #9 is a clean, light amber/golden beer with a small white head that vanishes. The aroma is mostly just apricot jam and some light grain. It is light-bodied, but not watery; smooth and crisp. The flavor is apricot-- sweet but not too sweet. The hops are subtle. The wheat is subtle. Everything but the apricot is subtle. This is to be consumed cold and quickly. I have to remember to drink this when it’s hot out. gearbike (413), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA Jan 6, 2008 At duke on tap. Possibly my least favorite on my nyc brew tour. Run of the mill. Collint (452), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jan 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. The aroma was fresh apricot. Taste fruity and thats about it, very drinkable though. I opened a cap and it says "you are a winner" so I won a free t-shirt! Rumpleganjskin (34), USA Jan 4, 2008 This is one of those beers that is kind of weird. A lot of fruit and according to the label apricot. Slightly watery but not in a bad way, refreshing. Don’t even bother if you don’t like hints of fruit. joebudzjoe (222), Connecticut, USA Dec 30, 2007 This is a great fruit beer disguised as a pale lager. The apricot is the most strong flavor in the beer, but it is not too strong or syrupy. jleavitt (1), Massachusetts, USA does not count Dec 29, 2007 A great micro-brew from the north east. I buy it whenever i have the option. Also very good on draft.
