Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

I work next door to this brewery! This is their second best beer, although most popular locally. If you like touring a brewery, this one is the BEST!

Bottle->Flute glass gives a huge and creamy, off-white head and a light yellow beer appearance that is relatively free of particulates, hence leaving it clear. The aroma is mildly of hops and perhaps a bit bready, also yielding a floral-type perfume. I don’t detect a strong yeast presence. Perhaps if I were to ponder the taste a bit, I might say there is a pear flavor there. The body is light, with a thin texture that gives a lot of flavor up front, then quickly goes away. A good beer, but not really one of my favorites--I believe there is some variance in this brew, too, b/c this last batch I had seemed to me to be much better than previous batches.

Bottle: I’m pretty sure the fruit I’m tasting is... peach... maybe apricot??? Light amber, thick head, VERY fruity. Lots of worse beers in the world.

Bottle. Appearance: Light amber with thick white head. Aroma: Light hops and sweet fruit... strawberry i think. Palate: Clean, light, smooth, easy to drink. Flavor: In this exact order; peach, hops, strawberry, light spice. The finish is a bit bitter and dry. Overall: The fact that I can buy a 6-pack of this beer for only $2 more than a 6-pack of Coors Light bumps it way up in my book. Not the best beer in the world but you get a pretty good bang for your buck.

Bottle: Poured a light brown/amber color. The head that was there on pour quickly dissappeared. Aroma is a light sweet sent nothing overpowering. First taste was as if I just bit into what a flower smells like. Not expecting that. Not a bad taste mind you just something I wasnt expecting. Probably wont buy this again under prinipal that I dont want my beer smelling better than I do.

Smell is really sweet and fruity. Pours an almost pink. No head to speak of or lacing for that matter. Tastes alot like the smell, peachy and slightly hoppy but not overwhelming on either note. Dry mouthfeel. Good beer.
