mattan (7), New York, USA does not count Nov 28, 2007 Quite fruity, nectar taste. Overall, not too spectacular, but certainly different from other beers. mrant (330), New York, USA Nov 28, 2007 Smells heavily of apricot, not much else. Pours a nice light copper color with almost no head. Taste is strong apricot flavor in a fairly generic pale ale. Not bad, but nothing amazing. I’m curious if they use real apricot at all joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2007 golden orange appearance with a sweet malty nose. flavor is sweet and malty with some peach notes. not much hop component and the finish is very dry. a unique beer but not that good scottw86 (180), Maryland, USA Nov 17, 2007 Updated: Dec 12, 2007Pours a hazy amber with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is of peach and malt. Taste is good, but a bit dry for a fruit beer. Gobot (15), commerce twp, Michigan, USA Nov 15, 2007 This is so cool. How did they get a beer to taste like Nag Champa? jblendy (518), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Nov 13, 2007 Pours amber with a thin off white-head. Fairly light aroma of caramel, syrupy peaches, and some light hops. Flavor is light, somewhat fruity, and barely hopped. Palate is light and watery, slightly bitter, but mostly watery. Why do they insist on the whole mystery marketing scheme. Apricots people!, it’s a cheap version of aprihop. The #9 part I’m not sure, but what else could it possibly refer to than the movie or song, or at the very least a batch number, but I think that’s highly unlikely. Hooray for marketing! Anyway, not bad, but really not much to this at all. dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Nov 12, 2007 Bottle. Interesting fog that lifts from open bottle. Quite mysterious. Clear gold, with a dense off-white head. Fruity aroma, that I would describe as spicy peach. Smooth and dry for a fruit beer. Not sure what the fruit is, perhaps prunes? Better than most fruit beers. brew4fun (167), West Virginia, USA Nov 12, 2007 Pours dark golden with white, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of light malt and unidentifiable fruit. Taste is spicy, light malt, some very mild fruit essence, hop bitterness pronounced. Thin body, very dry with no aftertaste. Not bad, very drinkable.
