Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Watery orange red color with not much head. Aroma light of some fruits. Taste a little fruity and watery with a malt presence but no bitterness. Easy to drink, maybe a girly lounge by the pool beer.

on tap. Many fleeting unique fruit flavors, but this brew is not robust enough to carry these flavors clearly to the surface. worth a try if you can find it on tap.

Six pack obtained while visiting Syracuse, NY. Pours brown with a whispy head that quickly disappears. Smells of apricot, but not overpowering, a good thing. A nice pale ale with a hint of apricots. Very drinkable.

Pours orangish amber with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of berries: blueberry, orange, raspberry, toffee. Taste is fruity, with notes of berry, caramel, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lightly sticky with moderate carbonation. Drinkable, but not terribly impressive.

Golden color with a little bit of white head. Strong malty aroma with a little hint of hay. Watery flavor. A bit of metallic hops, and and overtone of straw or malt. Not much to it.

Copper colored with light head. This beer was very sweet, and did not have very much hops, but it was very good.

Bottle in VA: Really sweet, fruity aroma. Not finding many hoppy smells at all. Transparent gold color, fairly strongly carbonated. Tastes very much like dried apricots. Actually not much maltiness or hoppiness in the taste, but for some reason that seems to make this one better. Overall, its good stuff.

Bottle. Pours clear bright orange with a thin white head. Fruit and nuts aroma with some herbal hops. Light body and medium carbonation. More fruit and nuts in the taste. Dry finish with almost no participation from the hops.
