emobassfoo (178), Webster, New York, USA Sep 17, 2007 Rated while drinking: Pours a see-through gold with a big fluffy white head. Lots of sweet fruity smells going on in the aroma. Apricot is definitely upfront. Much more natural smelling than other fruit beers, that are usually done with some artificial extract. Flavor is well balanced for a fruit beer. True, the apricot taste hits a little hard, but backs off and lets the malts and hops have their say. Very tasty flavor profile. Crisp on the palate, leaving the tongue a bit dry; but nothing harsh in there. Unlike some other fruit beers, this one is very easy to drink. Good flagship beer for Magic Hat. Can be drunk during any season. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA Sep 15, 2007 Decent fruity flavor, unlike other fruit beers but certainly not a pale ale. Hops are almost absent from the flavor. A little too watery and fizzy to be a great beer, but it is very refreshing. sallad (110), USA Sep 12, 2007 Copper colored with thin tan head. Sweet aromas of (naturally) apricot and sweet caramel / honey. Classic magic hat malt backbone, somewhat thin, with creamy apricot overtones. Lightly balanced hops. Easy to drink all day long out in the sun! Slipstream (734), USA Sep 12, 2007 Updated: Apr 21, 2008The bottle has a kool hippy-trippy label, and the beer is a nice brass color with a small head. The aroma is enjoyably fruity: blackberries, honey, malt, and plums. There is an easy-going flavor of fruity yeast and hops. It is medium bodied and nicely balanced, with a noticable taste of apricot. Magic Hat calls it an almost IPA, and Ratebeer calls it fruit beer. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 8, 2007 Pours a clear orange amber color with slight fizzy white head. Aroma is very fruity - definitely apricot. Flavor is also apricot though a bit sweeter, softer, and creamier, with some slight tart bitterness. Overall, not bad, but not super. tmike1313 (15), USA Sep 4, 2007 on tap in NY - Rich gold color, with a thin white head. Aroma is apricot, with a slight apricot taste that fades nicely. The maltiness of this beer leaves an awesome crispness in your mouth. Overall, nicely done. Ritterkreuz (179), Seneca Falls, New York, USA Sep 2, 2007 Copper in color with an apricot taste. Not bad, but nothing remarkable either. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Sep 1, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a small short lived white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of apricot, light floral hops, and light malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Good.
