A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because thereís never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Clear copper pour with a very bubbly head that left lacing on the side of the glass before Iíve even had a sip. Strong hoppy nose thatís a touch grainy and grassy. Dry. Easy to drink. Refreshing. No strong pale ale bite. Rather nice. Iím not a fan of pale ales but I have to say Iím a fan of a not quite pale ale. I could see buying a case of these for the weekend. Very nice. Yeasty flowery aftertaste that is pretty pleasant.

Alcohol, herbs, citrus, toast. A decent beer for beginners to explore new micro brews without starting to strong

Peachy & tangerine up front with a boring malt profile. Not bad by any stretch, good drinkability, just dull & so so.

12oz bottle poured into a plastic cup. Thereís a fruity, raspberry aroma thatís pretty prevalent along with rosewater. The undertone is grainy, caramel, and bready (like a scone or muffin). Itís a clear orange-gold color with a medium fluffy white ring and very little lace. The taste is a medium sweet and light bitter. The medium light body beer has a creamy soft carbonation and a thin, grainy texture. It finishes with muted flavors of berries, stone fruit, toasted grains, muffin/scone, and a light caramel/honey. The aftertaste is dry, crisp, and light with some grassy touches.

Weak smell with hints of malt. At first taste the flavor flows through the mouth. Almost creamy nutty taste with no residual aftertaste. Floral taste toward end of bottle

1 pint 6 fl oz bottle. Dark golden, nearly amber in the glass, light unclear, small head. Dull apricot on the nose. Starts little bit dry fruity with low bitterness. Black tea and malt in the background. Not bad at the 86į F we have now and better than every iced soft drink. But nothinī more.

Fruity but odd. Fruity beet lovers will like it but I didnít give it full makes because I prefer a darker after taste.
